Duck Eggs
Pasture-Raised in Tennessee
Try our delicious duck eggs!
Duck eggs are about 50%-75% larger than chicken eggs, richer yolks and larger whites.
We fry the eggs, use them in cakes and cookies (usually 1:1), omelets, fried rice, and any recipe using eggs!
Are you a chef?
Looking for locally grown shishitos or a specialty hot pepper? We’ll grow it for you!
We partner with chefs to grow specialty peppers & create custom sauces including bottling and design/branding.
We also grow to order various fall greens, garlic bulbs and scapes in May and June, and microgreens year-round.
Meet the Farm
Blake Wrobbel
Founder
I founded Slow & Steady Farm in 2022 after years of dreaming! I fell in love with growing vegetables in a community garden plot in 2013. After moving to Tennessee to be closer to my family (Nanette is my wonderful mother), I knew I wanted to “move forward into nature” and away from the corporate world… find land to grow clean food & medicine, build soil fertility & health, and help others do the same. I feel deeply that local food is more important now than ever.
Blood Worth Hot Sauce is our flagship product, but we explore many avenues on the farm, including a small tree nursery in the making, a “food forest” and “medicine forest” with emphasis on native plants like pawpaws, and of course our 40+ flock of layer ducks.
Really, thank you for your support. It means everything to us. We just want to make something delicious you love. :)
Dylan
Co-Founder
Dylan is a former runway model turned farmer by love. She manages market logistics & sales, design & branding, and she leads the yearly sauce production. Dylan illustrated all the characters above, designed the Slow & Steady Farm and Blood Worth Hot Sauce logos!
Nanette
Co-founder & Executive Chef
Nanette is the chef behind Blood Worth recipes, crafting each one for robust flavor & and a round, complex heat. Her mother, Betty Bloodworth was a prolific dinner party hostess, and gave Nanette a deep knowledge of what it takes to make high quality home-cooked meals. Nanette brings order to the farm chaos and holds herself and us all to a high standard.
Our thoughts on Ai
We use zero Ai on our farm.
We feel very strongly about the importance of original art and design. Art requires effort and the human element. Creating art, or writing copy like this by using AI removes the human element and care we put into our work here at Slow & Steady Farm.
We also care deeply about the massive real world impacts Ai Data Centers are having to our environment and our neighbors’ lives. Please do a quick search on Ai data centers if you are unfamiliar with their impacts and the recent uproar against them.
We love tools. The BCS 739 tractor is our best friend. The broadfork taught me about soil. But these tools do not come with the great risks associated now with Ai.
If you do use it, be careful and make sure to check your sources and the AI’s methods. We will work hard to provide you as many tried & true, human-tested methods and notes about what all we do in our Blog. If you have any questions or want to chat about this topic, as always feel free to reach out.
Much Love,
Slow & Steady Farm
